Art Nouveau was considered the most fashionable style by the turn of the nineteenth century. It’s organic elements with clean curves and linear forms have inspired and influenced furniture, design, architecture, sculpture, jewelry and paintings. The Tessel House in Brussels by Victor Horta is an outstanding example of Art Nouveau architecture. Here the staircase, wall decorations, mosaic floors, lighting, furniture and architecture were designed together with a new vision focused on nature and the female form.
